Foreword from the Director
Hansen Oei
Nautika Foundation is a non-governmental, independent, and non-partisan social organization with a strong commitment to community development, empowerment, and environmental sustainability. The foundation was established in response to the various social challenges faced by communities, particularly in coastal and rural areas.
In this era of rapid change, many community groups are marginalized due to unequal public policies, limited access to knowledge and training, and often uncontrolled economic pressures. This situation creates a widening gap between the fortunate and the less fortunate. Governments are often overwhelmed in their efforts to meet all the needs and expectations of the people. This is where organizations like Nautika Foundation play a crucial role.
As an organization focused on education, training, and development, Nautika Foundation is dedicated to empowering communities through planned, measurable, and systematic approaches. Through initiatives that include studies, research, education, advocacy, and empowerment, the foundation strives to bring about real positive changes in the socio-economic lives of communities. More than just meeting urgent needs, Nautika Foundation is determined to create a sustainable balance between economic development and environmental conservation.
With the slogan "Learn, Grow, Conserve: Communities and the Environment," Nautika Foundation is committed to building strong partnerships with local communities and related institutions. Together, we aim to create a more harmonious and sustainable way of life, where human well-being and environmental preservation go hand in hand.
As part of Nautika Foundation Alor, I believe that through close cooperation and tireless dedication, we can realize a brighter future for the communities and environment we cherish.
